Garry Newton - Owner

Garry is an aeronautically trained Fitter Turner Machine Tool Setter Operator with 20 years experience with the RNZAF. During his time with the Airforce Garry also studied extra-murally to gain an Advanced Trade Fitter Turner Machinist qualification.

In 1995 Garry received the Royal Aeronautical Society New Zealand Div, George Watt Award for technical innovation and excellence within the RNZAF. Garry received the award for the design and manufacture of specialised tooling.

Upon retirement from the RNZAF in 2005 Garry decided he wanted to use his extensive training and knowledge to offer a quality service that people could rely on.

The first lathe was purchased early in 2006 and with that  was in business.

Garry represented New Zealand in Waterski Racing and has been a keen participant in sports such as rugby, touch rugby and rugby league over the years. He also has a real passion for motocross and trail riding and loves to spend time on the track.

John Newton

John has recently retired from the building industry after some 45+ years of business ownership. Now has the opportunity to move back to his original field of expertise while spending some quality 'father/son' time in the workshop.

An apprenticeship as a Motor Mechanic means that John offers  knowledge and depth of skill that more modern training doesn't always provide.

Over the years John has actively been involved in sports including squash, car rallying and waterski racing as a judge both nationally and in an international capacity sitting on the World Waterski Racing Council for many years.

Kirsten Newton

Although no sporting superstar Kirsten does enjoy time at the gym, offroad endurance events and has more recently dipped her toes in the world of golf.
